"The Witchmother" is a card owned by my client.
The bride of the Dying God and a figure of wisdom and guidance to the Othi. In the stories, the Witchmother brought magic to the Othi after the absence of the creator, she carried magic from the various calamities and showed the Wdyik (Wild) peoples how to tame it. Under her watch, the Othi have flourished and expanded to every corner of Etheron. Depictions of the Witchmother usually take the form of beautiful women with long dark hair and the swirling facial and arm tattoos typical of the Wydik/Wydriothi. She is revered and honored among all healers of the Wydik people - it is said from the Witchmother's cauldron and storeroom comes forth all remedies and cures needed by her people. The Witchmother holds her children who practice magic in especially high regard, for those that cherish and steward her gift to her people are precious to her. In Wydriothi culture, where the Witchmother is honored, a placement to the Dying God is also put forward and vice versa.
