"The Maiden" is a card owned by my client.
Dressed all in plated armor with a mourning veil over her head, the Maiden is a picture of a beautiful, stalwart warrior. In the stories of old, the Maiden was the bride to be one of the greatest heroes of old. When her heroic fiancé fell in one of the fateful battles of the Wake against the invading forces of other realms, the Maiden took up her lover's blade herself and assumed up the mantle of their fallen duties. The Maiden serves to inspire all those that have lost loved ones, that life goes on in the wake of tragedy. The Maiden is a force of benevolence and protection for the common folk, and is often associated with the Iron Goddess, though the Maiden would always prefer diplomacy over war.
Themes: Love, Memory, Duty
